--Congratulations to the Little Falls Flyer Boys Hockey team winning last night 2-1 in the state quarterfinals over Delano. George Moore who had the winning goal in the section finals over Fergus Falls had the game winner also last night to break a 1-1 tie over Delano. The Flyers now advance to take on Dodge County Friday afternoon in the second of two semi-final games scheduled for around 1pm. Hear all the action live on Q92 WYRQ and online at fallsradio.com. Winner plays Saturday at 6pm for championship.

--Ron Kresha stated on KLTF Tuesday there are still a number of meals available for pickup and delivery Saturday and Sunday, free of charge from the Little Falls Ministerial Association for anyone who wants a meal. Also if you coming from a different town outside of Little Falls let Ron know so they can plan on a number of meals to be delivered to that town ahead of time to get that prepared for you. Again Saturday are pre-made meals that will need to be heated up by the person picking them up and the pickup time will be from 2-6pm at the Falls Ballroom in Little Falls. Sunday will be hot meals to pickup from 11am-1pm at the Royal Cafe on the west side of Little Falls. Call for the meal today at 320-761-6133. Also call Ron if you want to volunteer with pickup and delivery both days so please help out to make everyone wishing for a free meal to have a Happy Easter. Donations can still be made by calling Jason Swedeen at 632-2100.

--Starting today, the DNR announced burning restrictions in Morrison, Benton, Stearns, Sherburne, Anoka, Chisago, Hennepin, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, Ramsey, Todd, Wright and Washington counties are in effect. Those who burn debris despite the restrictions will be financially responsible if the fire spreads to other properties, according to the DNR. The restrictions were added after a number of wildfires sparked Sunday and Monday with warming temperatures and very low humidity levels with the dry grass and vegeation due to lack of snow at this time of year. --The Little Falls Fire Department was called out just after 12:30am Tuesday to 6166 Lennox Lane in Fort Ripley Township on a report of a building fire. Upon arrival firefighters found a house fully involved in fire. Due to the strong winds and dry conditions at the time of the fire, blowing embers were causing spot fires in the nearby woods as well. Firefighters were able to protect nearby structures and extinguish the fire. Firefighters were on scene until about 4am. There were no injuries to the resident or firefighters. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the MN State Fire Marshal’s Office.

--A replica of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C. will be coming to Rice this summer. The Rice American Legion Auxiliary is sponsoring the visit from the "Wall That Heals" in August. This is the traveling exhibits only stop in the Midwest this year. It's a three-quarters scale of the actual wall that is out in Washington, D.C. There's a semi-truck that does carry in the trailer, which is the mobile education center. It has actual stuff that was left at the wall in Washington, D.C. Items that were in Vietnam during the war. The Rice American Legion stated it will arrive on Tuesday, August 17th with set-up taking place at Rice Elementary that Wednesday. It will be open to the public 24 hours a day from Thursday, August 19th through Sunday, August 22nd. Right now the auxiliary is looking for volunteers and they are raising money to pay for the visit. --Morrison County Public Health has been notified that locally, multiple active cases of the variant strain B.1.1.7 have been detected. The B.1.1.7 variant has been identified in Morrison County. This variant was first identified in the United Kingdom in fall of 2020 and was detected in the United States at the end of December 2020. According to the CDC, variant B.1.1.7 spreads more easily and quickly in other variants and may be associated with increased risk of death. Gatherings continue to increase risk of getting and spreading COVID-19. It is also critical to get vaccinated when you have the opportunity. As of yesterday, all Minnesotans 16 years of age and older are eligible to receive a vaccine. Minnesota Department of Health has directed providers, including Morrison County Public Health, to prioritize vaccine appointments for people most at risk of getting COVID-19, or those who could develop severe illness if infected. This includes older Minnesotans, those with underlying health conditions and those in essential jobs. To find a vaccine near you, please utilize the Vaccine Connector Tool at vaccineconnector.mn.gov. If you are unable to register online, call your local healthcare provider, pharmacy, or Morrison County Public Health. --In a statement from CHI St. Gabriels' Health Tuesday, vaccines for anyone 16 and older are available at the hospital in Little Falls. To add your name or child’s name to the waitlist, call 631-7004. It is a voicemail box: names will be taken and they will be notified of an appointment when it's available. After vaccination, please provide the school with a record of the vaccine for tracking if they are a student. If they are fully vaccinated (2 weeks after the final dose) they will not have to quarantine if exposed.

--The Brainerd Police Department is investigating the death of a 65-year old Brainerd man. Police responded to a call at 12:10pm Thursday, March 25, to the area of the 1400 block of Norwood Street in Brainerd. Police reported the death is not suspicious and no foul play is suspected. Police reported the death appears accidental, but the investigation is pending as police wait for autopsy results.

TOUR= as the Boys Hockey Tournament continues today with AA quarter-finals, the State Girls Hockey Tournament resumes tomorrow with semi-finals, State Girls Basketball and Boys Basketball quarter-finals started yesterday with more games today and tomorrow with the semi-finals and finals slated for the week after Easter in Minneapolis. Also spring practices began this past Monday for many.
MLB= The Minnesota Twins released their plans for the 2021 home opener against the Seattle Mariners next week. The club is welcoming back roughly 10,000 fans to Target Field April 8th which is the first time fans will return to the ballpark since October of 2019.
