NEWS
--Dan Noss of Randall stated that the 12th Annual Randall Holly-Day event is tomorrow December 1st (the first Thursday in December) with events from 3:30-6:30pm. They include Santa handing out treats and a free photo at 3:30pm at the Randall VFW, Santa's Workshop at the VFW where kids can make holiday crafts, trolley rides around the town and Jingle Bell Music Show by Sue Kliber. There will the lights of love Christmas Tree at Bingo Park lit where the lights are purchased at Randall State Bank and all proceeds from the lights go to local area hospice programs. Free hot chocolate and treats and the VFW will also have food and beverages to purchase. The businesses will have extended hours to come and shop the Randall area and they also have giveaways to register for to win Randall Bucks. All of this is going on Thursday in Randall.

--Another item that Dan Noss talked about on KLTF is the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) will have their Christmas Dinner at the Little Falls VFW on December 15th with social to start at 5pm and dinner at 6pm. If you have questions on the meal or if you wish to still donate clothing to the DAV, you can call Dan at 320-232-9412.

--Two Aitkin drivers were injured Tuesday when their vehicles struck each other on Highway 169 in Aitkin County. The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash, reported at 7:25am in Farm Island Township, south of Aitkin. According to the crash report, a 2013 Cadillac ATS was traveling south on Highway 169 when a 2017 Honda CR-V, which was stopped on County Highway 28 at Highway 169, pulled out into traffic and made contact with the Cadillac. The driver of the Honda, Judith Anne Matthias, 81, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Riverwood Healthcare Center in Aitkin. The driver of the Cadillac, Christine Ann Schneider, 38, suffered non-life-threatening injuries but were not hospitalized.

--A Sauk Rapids bakery has temporarily closed following a small fire. Mixin' It Up Gluten Free Bakery owner Jessi Brinkman says when they arrived to the business Thanksgiving morning, they found the room filled with smoke from a basket of laundry they had dried the night before. There was this smoldering thing in our laundry basket and when it was emptied the laundry there was a few hot areas that fell out, however there wasn't an actual blaze as a result of this. Brinkman says while there wasn't any physical damage to the building or equipment, the smoke damage was enough to force them to close. She says they are in the process of restocking their inventory and beginning a deep cleaning of the building. Brinkman says she's blown away by the overwhelming amount of community support they've received with people offering a variety of ways to help them during this difficult time. She says their hope is to reopen in a few weeks, not sure if full strength or easing into things.

--Harding is getting ready for their holiday tradition starting with the craft sale Saturday at Holy Cross Church basement in Harding. Then at 5pm all turn to the Horsin' Around Parade with the horses, lights and items through the main street of Harding. You can still sign up if you want to hitch, ride or walk with a horse in the parade by contacting Dondi Schubert at 218-831-8850. All are welcome.

--Congratulations to Rick Block of Little Falls the latest $100 Ho Ho Dough bucks winner drawn on Tuesday. Rick registered at Wiczek's Floors and More in Little Falls. --The ROCORI School District took swift action after reports of a potential threat at the school Tuesday. High School Principal Ryan Hauge says an unsubstantiated social media post indicated there was a potential threat to ROCORI schools. Hauge says the post was based on information that was overheard. Several students reported the threat to staff, and the district administration started investigating alongside Cold Spring Police immediately. Hauge says they have followed up with all students involved, and are thanking the students who saw something and reported it right away. There are no additional concerns for student safety. District officials are reminding parents to talk with their kids on the importance of the words they use or post on social media and the consequences.

--The snowfall amounts on Tuesday were higher than expected around the Twin Cities which saw 6-8 inches of snow fall. St. Cloud to the Twin Cities reported many accidents and spinouts on the roadways. While the southern half of the state dealt with snow, around Little Falls just a few flurries last night and again today.

--The Friends of the Carnegie Library in Little Falls will be holding a Christmas Book Sale next week. Members only can come Wednesday, December 7th in the evening while the public can come and purchased used books, kids books, puzzles, games and movies during the sale from December 8th through the 10th with a bag sale on Saturday the 10th this is during regular hours at the library in Little Falls on Thursday, Friday and Saturday to help out the Friends group.

--Little Falls Community High School announced they will be kicking off their annual food drive beginning the week of December 12th.

ENTERTAINMENT NEWS
--Actor Clarence Gilyard, best known as Texas Ranger Jimmy Trevett on Walker Texas Ranger with Chuck Norris, along with appearing on TV's Matlock and movies like Top Gun and Die Hard died on Monday at the age of 66. Gilyard had a movie and TV career of 30 years.

SOC= The U.S. men's soccer team advanced into the next round of the World Cup with a 1-0 win Tuesday over Iran.
WOLVES= The Minnesota Timberwolves announced Tuesday that their NBA All-Star center, Karl-Anthony Towns, suffered an injury that will sideline him "indefinitely." Towns strained his calf during the third quarter of Monday's loss to the Washington Wizards.
