--Today marks the 18th Anniversary of the tragedies of September 11th, 2001 in New York, Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania when terrorists took over airplane that crashed into the World Trade Center towers and the Pentagon. The third plane that crashed when passengers overtook the terrorists crashed in a field in Pennsylvania that was supposedly aimed for the U.S. Capitol. The attacks killed nearly 3,000 people and injured another 6,000 and caused over 10 billion dollars in damages. Since then on September 11th known as Patriot Day is many parts of the nation to remember the lives lost and those that fought terrorism on that day 18 years ago. Many use this day as a day of service to give back to communities doing outdoor and other projects. There are many programs and services starting this morning at 7:46am central time including a national moment of silence to remember the fallen when the first plane struck the first of the Twin Towers in New York City. Events will follow from New York, Washington DC, Pennsylvania and even in Minnesota including an event will be held in St. Cloud to honor the 18th anniversary September 11th. The annual "A Day to Remember" community commemoration will start at 5pm on the front steps of the St. Cloud Police Department located at 101 11th Avenue North. Local National Guard members and veterans, as well as police and fire department members and city officials, will be a part of the program. The Cass County Sheriff's Office will hold a ceremony at the Cass County Courthouse today at 9am with the American Legion in Walker. --At 5:06am Tuesday the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a domestic assault involving a knife at the Eastwood Inn Apartments of Motley. When deputies arrived to investigate they learned the suspect had left the scene on foot into the nearby woods. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the suspect, 50-year old Michael Rogers of Motley was located in a field near the woods. Rogers was taken into custody by Motley Police and transported to the Morrison County Jail where he is being held pending charges for 1st Degree Domestic Assault, Terroristic Threats, Obstructing Legal Process and Criminal Damage to Property. The victim was transported by Staples Ambulance to Staples Hospital with unknown injuries.

--The Pierz City Council met on Monday night. At the meeting the council set the preliminary levy public hearing at 6:30pm on Monday, September 23rd. They will hold a city council workshop at 5:00pm that evening to discuss the 2020 budget and levy. The Pierz city council accepted the resignation of Deputy Clerk Kari Tyson and will post an opening of that position. Interested applicants may contact Pierz City Hall at 468-6471. The Pierz Ballroom and Lanes were approved for a 3.2% license. The council voted 3-1 in favor of allowing construction to continue on a residential duplex at 401 Park Avenue SE. The Pierz City Council is scheduled to meet again on Monday, September 23rd at 7:00pm at Pierz City Hall.

--The Minnesota DNR has posted their fall colors calendar for 2019. A line from St. Cloud west is showing already at 25% peak, where most of the state remains around 10% right now. The DNR states that most of the color peaks this year will occur around the first to third week of October but recent cooler and wet forecasts could change it.

--This weekend is the 45th Albany Pioneer Days and Threshing Show starting Friday at 7am and going through Sunday.

--An 11-year-old died Friday afternoon near Milaca after the horse-drawn manure spreader he was operating with his 13-year-old brother hit a rock, throwing both juveniles off. The Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Communication Center received an emergency call of a farming accident at 6292 110th Street at 9:22am on Friday. When deputies arrived at that address they learned that two juveniles, ages 13 and 11, had been operating a team of horses when they hit a rock, throwing both of them off the farm implement. After the juveniles fell, the 11-year-old was then run over by the manure spreader causing his death. The 13 year old sustained non-life threatening injuries. The farm accident involved members of the Milaca Amish community. The Anoka County Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting an autopsy and those findings will be forwarded to the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office when the autopsy is completed. The accident is currently under investigation.

--Phone lines were down across Tuesday across the central Minnesota area. According to reports from several agencies; Stearns County, Benton County and St. Cloud Metro Bus tweeted at about 9:00am that phone lines were down and the phone company was working to correct the issue. Benton County reported the outage does not affect 911 calls. Benton County Sheriff's Office tweeted that the dispatch center had a "large telephone outage" affecting Central Minnesota.

--A Sartell man is charged with four felonies after a domestic assault incident in St. Cloud Saturday. According to charges filed in Stearns County District Court, 33-year-old Aaron Kraemer began corresponding with a woman who he's had a relationship with despite a court-ordered Domestic Abuse No Contact Order filed in April. On Saturday, police were called to an address in St. Cloud on a domestic assault in progress. Police arrived and found Kraemer on the woman's deck and arrested him on the DANCO violation. The woman there said the man showed up that night and began yelling at her calling her names and threatening her. Kraemer is also accused of punching the woman in the arm, shoving her, blocking her path to leave and threatening to smash a 40-ounce beer bottle over her head. Records show Kraemer also threatened to kill her and her children. Kreamer is charged with two counts of felony domestic assault, terroristic threats and violating a no-contact order.

--The St. Cloud Police Department has released information about a Level 3 Predatory Offender who is planning on moving to the community. Jeremia Loper is moving into a home in the 100 block of 12th Avenue North. Police say Loper engaged in sexual contact with a young girl, which included sexual touching. The police department will be holding a community notification meeting at 6pm Monday at the police department's training room. The police department and the Minnesota Department of Corrections will then answer questions.

TWINS= Jose Berrios pitched 7 innings in a shutout win for the Twins last night 5-0 over Washington. Mitch Garver blasted #30 for him and homer #276 for the Twins in the victory. Twins and Nationals play game 2 tonight at 6pm on Q92 WYRQ.
