On Monday Crow Wing County Assistant Attorney Janine LePage voiced her concerns over a new document filing system, the Minnesota Digital Exhibit System. “What used to take my assistant 20 minutes to put on a thumb drive, took them five days to put into,” the Minnesota Digital Exhibit System. She was also concerned about how confidential documents are being stored on the site as anyone with access to the system could have access to the confidential information. Aanes told LePage she should talk with court administration to verify the concern before Aanes would make a decision as to whether the documents should be taken off the filing system. Aanes told both attorneys that all paperwork would need to be submitted by December 11th and she would need at least a month to go through the 700-plus documents relating to the motions before setting the next hearing date.
