Federal authorities searched a Foley-area vegetable farm Thursday morning. Benton County Sheriff Troy Heck said his office was notified by the Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement division of its intention to execute the search at Svihel Vegetable Farm. The farm is located south of Foley near Minnesota Highway 25. The Benton County Sheriff’s Office was not involved in the raid. Officers on scene were with both Homeland Security Investigations and Diplomatic Security Services. The farms co-owner was surprised by the raid and stated that all of his migrant workers were in the country legally and that none were taken away.
