The Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA) remains hopeful that Congress will pass uniform national GMO labeling legislation before Vermont’s law goes into effect July first. GMA public affairs official Michael Gruber says stakeholders continue to voice their concerns to lawmakers. Gruber says GMA is working with Democrats and Republicans to find language that can garner enough support to get the 60 votes necessary to pass in the Senate.
