NEWS
--Congratulations to the Little Falls Boys Nordic Ski Team of Jackson Grant, Colton Yorek, Cormac Shanoff, Colton Gottwalt, Simon Park, Connor Grant and Eli Segler for advancing to state next week in Biwabik. Also Katie Corbett advanced individually for the girls team of Little Falls. Good Luck to the Nordic Skiers next week.

--The Morrison County Sheriffs office has located the suspect and stolen vehicle that was on earlier newscasts on Little Falls Radio. We will share further details after we receive a press release later today (Thursday) from the Morrison County Sheriffs Office.

--U.S. Senator from Minnesota Amy Klobuchar announced after the State of the Union Speech by President Donald Trump that she will make a big announcement on Sunday at Boom Island Park in Minneapolis. Klobuchar welcomed all to come to the park at 1pm for her big news, which many speculate will be an announcement of if she is running for U.S. President for the DFL Party in 2020.

--Two St. Cloud men face separate felony charges on suspicion of firing a gun Friday near 33rd Avenue North and Seventh Street in St. Cloud. 23-year old Jorge Arturo Fernandez Jr. faces one charge of reckless discharge of a firearm in a municipality. 20-year old Derrick Sean Wilkerson II faces a charge of unlawful possession of a firearm or ammunition after he was found delinquent of first-degree aiding and abetting aggravated robbery at the age of 17. Both appeared in court on Monday. Wilkerson has an omnibus hearing scheduled next Monday and Fernandez is due in court the same day.

--A Rice woman is charged with three felony counts on suspicion of stealing money through public assistance and financially exploiting a man for whom she was guardian. 52-year old Sheila Maurise Burski is charged with one count of wrongfully obtaining public assistance and two counts of financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult. Burski will appear in court for an omnibus hearing in April.

--Three people lost their home in St. Cloud in an early morning fire Tuesday. Around 1:40am the St. Cloud Fire Department responded to a trailer house fire at 555 Highway 10 South, lot 56. By the time authorities arrived the home was fully engulfed. The damage estimate is about $24,000. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The Red Cross is helping the three people who lived there. No one was hurt in the fire.

--Members of the Pierz Pizzazz Dance Team will be hosting their fourth annual soup cook-off and silent auction fundraiser Saturday, March 9th starting at 5pm. Pre-sale tickets can be purchased from any Pizzazz dancer. There will be games, music, split the pot and much at the Pierz Ballroom. --The Morrison County Sheriff's Office is reminding motorists that there is a Winter Weather Advisory in effect through midnight. Snow started last night with some mixed precipitation causing slippery roads. The hazardous conditions is expected to hamper the morning commute today and into the afternoon. A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery roads and limited visibility, and use caution while driving. If you are traveling, give yourself enough time and slow down. Make sure to turn your headlights on. The latest road conditions can be found at 511mn.org or by calling 5-1-1.

--The Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota has been given a $5 million donation from the Norman C. Skalicky Foundation to launch its Great Futures Endowment Campaign. The gift comes with a matching grant for the community. Aimee Minnerath is the Marketing Director for the clubs. She says community support is how the organization stays afloat. Deb Nebosis is the Development Director for the clubs. She says Norm Skalicky has been involved with the clubs since 2005 and continues to generously show his support. This gift is a historic gift to the Boys and Girls Clubs, it's the largest gift ever received by the organization. The Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota help bring after-school programming to children. The organization focuses on activities that will encourage learning and growth such as homework tutoring, sports activities, arts, nutrition and more.

--The adults with disabilities dance tonight at the Falls Ballroom from 4:30-7:30pm has been canceled due to the inclement weather. Also the 9:00am Mass this morning at St. Rita's Church is canceled.

HS GBB= Long Prairie-Grey Eagle at Pierz tonight 7pm on FM94.
HS GHK= The Brainerd/Little Falls Girls Hockey team will open the playoffs Saturday at home against Moorhead at 2pm on Q92 WYRQ.
KCS= The Pierz Council 3921 announced their free throw winners are Jackson Thielen, Preston Saehr, Macy Sadlovsky, Payton Stangl, Caden Knutson, Khole Scheel, Kirby Fischer, Kiara Olesch, Ashley Kimman, Alexys Hanneken, Noah Oberfled, and Kaden Kruschek. Little Falls announced back on January 26th their qualifiers were Sean Derry and Aden Larson. From Upsala, Bowlus and North Prairie qualifiers were Alexa Pilaski, Mathew Tschida, Anne Ripplinger, Noah Ripplinger; Sierra Bense; Isabel Ripplinger, Jack Primus; Daniel Kokett, Hannah Luedtke and Levi Lampert. The district contest will be held at Pierz Healy High School Sunday, registration is at 11:30am.
