The Minnesota Military Museum has a new website which now includes a “Veterans Registry” and requests the publics’ assistance to gather Veterans Stories. The Registry is a statewide database containing information about the military service of individual Minnesota veterans. A qualified veteran is anyone who once served or is serving in the US military and was either born in Minnesota or has lived in Minnesota. The website Registry is easy to use and anyone can submit a Minnesota Veterans story and pictures of veterans from the Civil War to today. This service is free of charge and part of the mission of the Military Museum to preserve records of Minnesota Veterans service and to preserve the artifacts related to their service for future generations. Interested veterans and individuals should visit www.mnmilitarymuseum.org and click on Veterans. The Minnesota Military Museum is open seven days a week from May through September and Thursdays and Fridays from October through April. Special tours may be coordinated at any time.
