A Sauk Rapids man was ordered held in jail Monday in lieu of $500,000 bail after being charged with recruiting and trafficking women as prostitutes in the St. Cloud area. 40-year old Israel Davis has been charged in Stearns County District Court with three counts of promoting prostitution, three counts of soliciting individuals to practice prostitution and two counts of receiving profits from prostitution. His arrest comes after an investigation by the Central Minnesota Sex Trafficking Task Force that included details where several women were identified as being trafficked.
