It was reported on Monday night that Mills Fleet Farm in Baxter has agreed in principal to the sale of their company to KKR & Co based out of Manhatten, New York for a price of 1.2-billion dollars. Stewart C. Mills Sr. founded Mills Corporation including the Fleet Farm brand in Brainerd in 1922. An official announcement on the sale is expected sometime later today in Brainerd.
