--One person was injured early Sunday morning in Green Prairie Township. 26-year old Bradley Zimmerman of Little Falls was southbound on Grouse Road when he left the roadway and rolled his vehicle. Officers were called to the scene at 2:43am. Zimmerman was taken to the hospital by an ambulance.

--One man was injured after a two-car collision Thursday around 5:00pm on interstate 94 near the Collegeville exit. 19-year-old Brian Nelson of Braham struck another vehicle from behind driven by Julie Anderson of Hastings. The 52-year-old Anderson was not injured in the incident. Nelson received a non-life threatening injury and was transported to St. Cloud Hospital.

–On Wednesday, St. Cloud police arrested a second suspect from a May 4th armed robbery. According to the department, the crime was reported at about 11:50pm in the 1900 block of Seventh Street North. The next day, police arrested a 17-year-old boy from St. Cloud. Continued investigation led officers to 19-year old Benjamin Jensen of St. Cloud, whom they arrested Wednesday. The case has been sent to the Stearns County Attorney's Office. Jensen could face felony aggravated robbery charges.

--The two-week filing period is underway for candidates running for most federal, state and local elected offices in November. Candidates have until 5pm May 31st to submit their names. Some names already filed for office- U.S. House of Representatives 6th District: David Snyder, DFL. 7Th District: Dave Hughes, Republican. 8Th District: Stewart Mills, Republican. State Senate District 9- Paul Gazelka, Republican from Nisswa, Legislature Senate District 15: Andrew Mathews, Republican. House District 15A: Sondra Erickson, Republican. In Morrison County incumbent Commissioners Kevin Maurer in District 1, Jeffrey Jelinski in District 2 and Randy Winscher in District 3 have announced their reelection bid.

--A man facing a felony charge for attempting to solicit a child in January was charged with sex-related texting crimes. 45-year old David Lee Hendershot of Wadena was charged in Wadena County District Court with harassment/stalking with sexual intent and harassment/stalking of a victim under 18—both felonies. According to a criminal complaint filed by the Wadena County Attorney's Office, Hendershot sent 51 text messages to a 17-year-old male Saturday night with sexually explicit content about the male's juvenile girlfriend. The messages included sexually explicit photos of Hendershot. Hendershot was arrested by Pequot Lakes police on New Year's Eve 2015 outside SuperAmerica gas station after he allegedly planned to meet who he believed was a 13-year-old juvenile female for sex. The felony charge Hendershot faces in that incident carries a maximum penalty of three years in prison, a $5,000 fine or both. The new charges against him carry a combined maximum penalty of 15 years in prison and/or a $30,000 fine.

--The Pierz City Council will hold their next meeting at 7:00pm tonight. The meeting will be held at Pierz City Hall.

--A 22-year-old from Burtrum was injured early Saturday on Acorn Road in Elmdale Township northwest of Upsala. Around 2:20am Callan Drill left the roadway, traveling in the east ditch, over two approaches and struck a power pole causing the vehicle to land on its side. Drill was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with unknown injuries.

--Authorities have determined that a March 11th fire that heavily damaged the Church of St. Mary in Melrose was intentionally set. A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the fire, which caused about $5 million in damage to the 118-year-old church. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the state fire marshal, through the Minnesota chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators, are offering the reward of up to $7,500. This is the first time investigators have said the fire was incendiary, or intentionally set. Any information about the fire should call the ATF hotline at 888-ATF-FIRE or the Minnesota Arson Hotline at 800-723-2020. Callers may remain anonymous.

--A boat collision on Thursday night injured multiple people on Gull Lake in Cass County. Pillager and Lake Shore police responded with the sheriff's office to Ernie's on Gull where two boats collided on the lake around 10:40pm. Deputies stated that a number of people on the boats were treated for injuries on scene. At least three people were taken by ambulance to a hospital for further review. Sheriff Tom Burch stated none of the injuries seemed life threatening.

--The St. Cloud area is planning to start a new crime fighting program. Local police plan to buy a home in a high crime area and turn it into a Community Oriented Policing Services office. The department recently received a federal grant to hire three new officers to replace the three that will man the COPS office. Police have already raised 50 thousand dollars to purchase the house.

--The Morrison County Commissioners hold their next meeting on Tuesday at 9:00am at the government center boardroom.

PIERZ=Pierz Healy High School has hired Joe Kahl as the new Varsity Head Basketball Coach. Kahl comes to Pierz with eight years assistant and one year of head coaching experience.
LYNX= Lynx beat Seattle 78-71 Sunday to go 3-0 on the season.
