--Morrison County Sheriff Shawn Larsen states that the reward for information that leads to the identification of the person who shot and killed Terrence Brisk has been increased to $30,000. According to Larsen, other donors have come forward and wish to remain anonymous. The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office is still asking for the public’s assistance in locating a Winchester Model AE 30-30 lever action rifle belonging to Terrence Brisk. The rifle is described as an older model, with a wooden stock and forearm with no sling attached. Terrence Brisk was known to carry the rifle in the woods while hunting and at this point in the investigation it has not been located. The Sheriff's Office continues to actively investigate this case along with the assistance of the BCA. All information relevant to the case is being followed up on and numerous interviews are being conducted. No arrests have been made up to this date. Larsen still believes this is an isolated incident and there is no known risk to the public. --Little Falls Community High School custodian Fred Slettom has been nominated for the 2016-17 national LifeChanger of the Year Award. Sponsored by the National Life Group Foundation, the national LifeChanger of the Year program recognizes and rewards the very best K-12 public and private school educators and employees across the United States who are making a difference in the lives of students by exemplifying excellence, positive influence and leadership. Slettom was nominated by Little Falls superintendent, Stephen Jones. Each school year, the LifeChanger of the Year program receives hundreds of nominations from all 50 states. There will be a total of 15 individual LifeChanger of the Year awards. In addition, a 16th prize, the “National Spirit Award,” is given to the school and nominee whose community demonstrates the most support for their nomination. Each winner will receive a cash award that is split between the individual winner and their school. The national Grand Prize award is $10,000. Winners are announced in the spring via surprise award ceremonies held at their schools.

--From EMS, to fire fighters, to police officers St. Cloud honored its first reponders Tuesday evening. Fire Chief Dean Wrobbel says keeping the residents safe is a team effort with also all the partners they have throughout the city as far as department heads and all the people. Police Chief Blair Anderson added it has been a challenging year with a lot of challenging things in 2016, chief among them obviously being the mall attacks. Law enforcement received a tremendous amount of praise for the response and how that was handled. The appreciation event was hosted by St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis and was held at the St. Cloud City Council Chambers.

--The driver found dead Monday when his pickup truck crashed near Deerwood was identified as 71-year old Wayne E. Lundquist of Deerwood. The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the fatality at 4:08pm Monday at the intersection of Highway 6 and County Road 133, northeast of Placid Lake. The vehicle was traveling north on Highway 6 when it went off the road into the west ditch and crashed into several trees, before coming to a stop by hitting a large tree. The state patrol reported Lundquist was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was dead at the scene.

--One person was taken to the hospital after a two vehicle crash. The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says it happened at about 8:00pm Tuesday night on County Road 7, just north of Dellwood Road, in Fairhaven Township, about two miles south of St. Augusta. A vehicle driven by 38-year-old Jennifer Olsen of Annandale was going south. Meanwhile, a pickup being driven by 19-year-old Dean Kivisto of Cokato was going north. Kivisto lost control of his vehicle and struck Olsen’s vehicle. Kivisto had minor injuries and was not taken to the hospital. Olsen was taken to St. Cloud Hospital.

--A 30-year-old Brainerd man arrested in Friday's drunk driving crash that resulted in serious injuries to the other driver faces criminal charges. Billy Bigler had his first appearance Tuesday in Crow Wing County District Court and was charged with felony criminal vehicular operation and gross misdemeanor of driving while intoxicated.

--The Friends of Lindbergh Heritage are seeking volunteers to help with the Candlelight Snowshoe and Hike. One or two volunteers are needed for trail preparation by walking the path once a day a week or so before the event in order to clearly establish the trails. Two to four volunteers are needed for candle set up at noon, on the day of the event of December 31st. Four to eight volunteers are needed for the candle lighting starting at 4:00. Two to four additional volunteers are needed for candle take down at 8:00pm. The free event itself is from 5:00-8:00pm Saturday, December 31st. If you can volunteer please call Melissa at 616-5421.
