The Ag Learning Center at the Morrison County Fair is giving fair attendees one more reason to enjoy the fair — the “Big Round Bale” decorating contest. The big round bales will be available to decorate after 5:00pm Friday, August 7th, to the beginning of the Fair, Thursday, August 13th. The bales will be placed near the walking paths all through the Fairgrounds. Several families, 4-H groups and even a pre-school group have already reserved their bale. All organizations, businesses and individuals are welcome to participate. The winner will be announced Saturday, August 15th before the cash drawing at 10:00pm. A lot of ideas for decorating the bales can be found online at Pinterest, according to the Ag Board’s Guide to the Fair. For more information, or to reserve one of the big round bales by August 1st, call Diane Colombe at (320) 745-2266
