A 30-year-old Brainerd man accused of stabbing another man reportedly kicked and spit on police officers as he was taken into custody. Dustin Cavin was charged with felony second degree assault with a dangerous weapon along with charges of assault of a peace officer and transferring bodily fluids during an altercation with a peace officer. Cavin’s bond was set at $10,000 with no conditions. Cavin allegedly stabbed a man in an arm during a fight on September 11th in an alley of a Brainerd bar. Cavin will have his next court appearance on Wednesday.
