The Brainerd Public Utilities Commission Tuesday morning came to a tentative agreement to purchase property adjacent to the BPU facility. The BPU Commission met in closed session for about 25 minutes Tuesday morning. The commission then came back into open session and made an offer to purchase the property for $60,000, which was tentatively accepted. The “as is” purchase is contingent on Brainerd City Council approval. The council’s approval could come as early as their next meeting October 19th.
