Brainerd officially swore in their new mayor Monday night at their council meeting. Brainerd City Administrator Jim Thoreen swore in Ed Menk as the new mayor of Brainerd. Menk when asked after the oath what was next he stated quote “let’s get to work” and the council meeting continued with approving the 2016 budget and capital improvement budget for next year and accepted four tax forfeited parcels from Crow Wing County at the amount of $2,283.
