A Crosby man was charged in Crow Wing County with felony domestic assault by strangulation and felony terrorist threats with reckless disregard after threatening to kill a woman. 34-year-old Jeffrey Hoffman is charged with threatening a woman by throwing her in a mine pit with weights around her so “she wouldn’t float”. The woman told authorities Hoffman continuously assaulted her with punches and knee shots and she said he was going to sexually assault her but police arrived before that occurred. Hoffman continued to verbally assault the woman as he was put in the squad car. Hoffman has denied all the claims of the woman. Police say the woman did have red marks on her neck when they arrived on scene.
