Crow Wing County authorities stated that a man was grazed by a bullet Sunday morning while duck hunting off of County Road 1 in Emily. When the DNR and Crow Wing County arrived, first responders were working on 18-year-old Derek Bonsante of Shakopee who had a grazing head wound. He was taken to the Crosby Hospital where the hospital reported he had been released by Monday. The DNR report states that there were five hunters and two of the those were in a canoe, some ducks flew towards them, as one man got up to shoot, Bonsante stood up in front him at the same time and a bullet grazed the side of his head.
