--Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, Friday after turns to shopping and supporting local businesses, Christmas Tours and a Santa Parade. Today being Black Friday, still many stores open early for the holiday season though most bigger stores have done deals through the entire month not just on the one day. The Christmas Tours begin today with Christmas at the Mansions presenting Just an Old Fashioned Christmas at the Linden Hill Historic Estate. The event is today through December 4th Monday through Saturday 1-7pm and Sunday 11am-6pm last tour begins 1 hour before closing, enjoy a self guided tour of the Musser and Weyerhauser mansions with Christmas décor in every room including one made from Little Falls Radio's Sale Manager Melanie Lintner. Cost is $15 adults, 12-17 is $5 and 11 and under are free. Bring your slippers please to wear inside the homes. The Rosenmeier Home Tours- which houses the Convention and Visitor's Bureau will have their Nutcracker Suite Monday through Saturday from 1-6pm and Sundays from 11am-6pm- self guided tour of the facility and count the nutcrackers to win a prize. Adults $2 and all under 18 are free of charge. The Minnesota Fishing Museum and Hall of Fame Christmas Tree Lane and Special Displays start today and Sunday through Friday 12-6pm Saturdays 10am-6pm. Over 100 items, silent auction featuring over 75 Christmas Trees, wreaths and gift baskets, auction ends at 6pm December 4th. Santa will be there on the weekends, pictures to purchase. Admission fee is $10 for adults, $5 for 6-17 years old, and free under 5. However you only have to purchase one time, if you want to come back and check bids or see more over the 12 days all your other visits will be free. All MFMHOF members are also free. Pick up tokens for future visits. The Charles A. Lindbergh House and Museum has Christmas on the Lindbergh Farm Friday Saturday and Sundays only this and next weekend from 10am-5pm. Step back into time with costumed interpreters and experience the holidays of 100 years ago. Adults $10, Seniors/Veterans/Active Military and College Students $8, 5-17 year old also $8 and 4 and under are free. All MNHS members are free. Get details on all the events at littlefallsmn.com. Another event tonight is the Santa Parade beginning at 6pm on the west side of Little Falls. The West Side Improvement Association sponsors the parade starting by Anderson Custom Processing then turns right at Highway 27 at the stop lights and travels eastbound on Highway 27 (keep in mind only the eastbound lane of 27 will be closed during the parade), the parade travels past Lin Furniture where KLTF's Ron Specker will be emcee with Great River TV taping to be shown at a later day on their Channel 180 and Utube page. The parade goes to Bank Square then turned north on 1st Street back the bank plaza area and up to the fire hall for completion. All are welcome to come and see Santa Claus return to Little Falls tonight.

--The Morrison County Sheriff's Office hopes everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving Thursday but also reminds you if you have travel plans today through Sunday, please follow safety laws, seatbelts, stay off the phone, watch the distracting driving. Also they remind those to never drink and drink as extra patrols will be out this weekend watching for speeding and impaired drivers. --Tomorrow is Small Business Saturday, a great day to help support the small businesses during the holiday season in your hometowns. Next week is Cyber Monday and Giving Tuesday also.

--An early morning accident in Richardson Township of Morrison County sent an Onamia woman to the hospital on Thanksgiving. Around 2:22am Thursday, 44-year-old Renee Pewaush was westbound on Highway 27 near 380th Avenue, when she left the road and struck the guardrail. Renee was taken to the Onamia hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries.

--After a bit of a delay, it was reported on Wednesday that the detour between Foley and Milaca on Highway 23 has been lifted for the winter months. More road work on 23 is scheduled for 2023.

--A St. Bonifacius woman has been charged with theft from the Target store in Monticello. Officials with the Wright County Sheriff’s Office investigated claims by a Target manager that Sue Kolb, an employee of the store, would keep money from the cash register instead of putting it in the drop box at the end of her shifts. Court records show an Asset Protection Manager discovered the thefts through video surveillance. Kolb allegedly admitted to Wright County Sheriff’s Deputies that she took the money and kept it in a box in her home. She claimed to not know the total amount that was stolen. After a search of Kolb’s home, authorities found cash in a shoebox totaling $22,329. Target officials estimate the thefts occurred between October 23rd and November 9th of this year.

--A residence was hit with a bullet Monday on 48th Avenue Southwest near Pine River in Cass County. Sheriff’s deputies responded to the incident at 10:58pm west of Pine River. Cass County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call about weapon fire on the 3000 block of 48th Avenue Southwest. Deputies found a broken window from what appeared to be a ricocheted bullet. No bullet was found and no one was injured. The incident remains under investigation and there is no danger to the public at this time.

--Another event this weekend on Sunday is the Chaplaincy Pizza Party at the Little Falls VFW Sunday from 11am-1pm. All are welcome to come and enjoy pizza and pop. You can help out the Chaplaincy program through the Sheriff's Office at this event, also there is opportunity to drop off coats for a coat drive, food shelf items for the Morrison County Food Shelf and love offerings can be dropped off for victims of Hurricane Ian in Florida. There will be live music at the event also and all can come and enjoy time together on Sunday.

NFL= Buffalo won with a last second field goal 28-25 over Detroit. Dallas held off the New York Giants 28-20 and last night Vikings get a 4th quarter touchdown to hold off New England 33-26. Kirk Cousins tossed three touchdowns in the win. Vikings are now 9-2 on season.
