NEWS
--Little Falls Mayor Greg Zylka is proclaiming this Tuesday, November 24 as "Stronger Together Day" in Little Falls. He invites us all to wear purple and place a purple heart in our windows. Let's turn the town purple on Tuesday. Mayor Zylka will be on the KLTF Community Program today at 8:30am on AM960 KLTF.

--The Morrison County Website reported Friday of 1,961 total cases of COVID-19, 664 active cases and 106 hospitalizations. By Zip Code, Little Falls 276, Pierz 163, Royalton 49, Motley 33, Hillman 29, Randall 27, Swanville 23, Cushing 20, Bowlus 17 and the rest of the cities on the website report less than 10 cases for their zip code. On the state website Friday 6,812 new cases and another 68 deaths linked to the virus including another one in Morrison County, Morrison County reported another 66 cases and 5 more probable cases of COVID on Friday. Around the area Benton 76, Mille Lacs 30, Crow Wing 98, Stearns County reported 343 new cases on Friday's report. On Saturday the state website reported 6,265 new cases and another 51 deaths linked ot the virus. Morrison County had 76 new cases of COVID-19 reported on Saturday, Mille Lacs 38, Stearns 203, Todd 29, Benton reported 60 and Crow Wing 67 new cases on Saturday's report. Then on Sunday there were 7,219 positive cases another 40 reported new deaths including another in Morrison County in their 90s making 21 death cases linked to the virus in Morrrison County. Another 66 new cases were reported in Morrison County on Sunday's MDH report. Morrison County had over 575 new cases in past week.

--Authorities say the death of a 25-year-old whose body was found near the St. Cloud Regional Airport has been ruled a homicide. The Sherburne County Sheriff's Office says autopsy results show Tyler Ecklund died as a result of a gunshot wound. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact the Sherburne County Sheriff's Office or Tri-County Crime Stoppers. Any information that leads to the arrest and charge(s) against the person or persons responsible will be eligible for a cash reward.

--Authorities locked down St. John's University Thursday as they searched for a suspect who punched an officer during a traffic stop on Interstate Highway 94. Devan Dajon Wilson, 29, was arrested about 6:30 p.m. Thursday near Sagatagan Lake on the campus of St. John’s University, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. No force was used when Wilson was taken into custody, according to state patrol. He was transported to St. Cloud Hospital for observation and will be booked into the Stearns County Jail when released. Officers from the Stearns-Benton Tactical Team, St. Cloud Police Department Tactical Team and the State Patrol Special Response Team continued searching inside buildings in the area Thursday evening in an attempt to locate the suspect. Authorities from 16 agencies were involved in the search for Wilson and he again was apprehended.

--A 28-year-old was injured in a one vehicle accident Saturday afternoon in Todd County. Christian Ambriz of Melrose was on Highway 28 in Burnhamville Township when he left the road and struck the ditch. Ambriz was taken to St. Cloud for injuries sustained.

--Two people were injured in an accident Friday morning just after 5am on eastbound Interstate 94 near Melrose in Stearns County. 27-year-old Taban Giek of Columbia Heights reported veered off the road and rolled the vehicle. Giek and 30-year-old Erick Larsen of Andover were both injured and taken to the Melrose Hospital for their injuries.

--The Pierz City Council meets tonight at 7pm at Pierz City Hall.

--The Little Falls Community High School Indoor Marching Band concert was held Thursday in the high school gym without any audience members this year. The 35 minute concert was posted on the Little Falls Community Schools facebook page for all to enjoy.

--A Minnesota man has pleaded guilty to helping set fire to a Minneapolis police station during civil unrest in the days following the death of George Floyd. 26-year-old Bryce Michael Williams of Staples pleaded guilty Thursday to one count of conspiracy to commit arson. According to an indictment, he and several others breached a fence around the station on May 28th and Williams helped light a Molotov cocktail which another man carried into the building to start the fire.

--Today is the Pack the Trailer event at Coborn's Marketplace in Little Falls put on by Morrison County United Way and Moment's Hospice. Please drop off between 3-6pm lightly used clothing, winter clothes especially coats, hats mittens for adult and kids, non perishible food items, toiletrys and other essentials like toothbrushes, toilet paper, baby items all between 3-6pm at the Trailer near the Liquor Store in the parking lot to help support those in need this year.

NATIONAL NEWS
--The Food and Drug Administration announced that the Pfizer vaccine for COVID-19 if approved on December 10th could be available for emergency use only first by December 12th to public.

COL FB= Gophers hold off Purdue 34-31 Friday night. Gophers (2-3) will take on Wisconsin Saturday at 1pm on AM960 KLTF.
HS FB= Albany rocked Pierz Friday 41-8, Mayer Lutheran shut out Upsala-Swanville, Pillager, Staples-Motley, Browerville-Eagle Valley all lost their games Friday while Foley won. Likely end of football season.
