NEWS
--The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed the identity of two women who died in the crash between a pickup truck and UTV in Benton County Saturday. The driver of the UTV was identified as 44 year old Jamie Lea Jendro of Princeton. The UTV passenger was identified as 34-year-old Lindsay Erin Karsky of Oak Park. The Benton County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the crash with the assistance of the Minnesota State Patrol.

--The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office reports that at 7:11pm Friday night a one-vehicle accident with injuries happened on Quest Road near 360th Avenue, approximately four miles east of Harding in Richardson Township. 50-year-old Robert Theis of Golden, Colorado was traveling west on Quest Road approaching the intersection at 360th Avenue. Theis’s vehicle left the roadway at the curve, went in the ditch and rolled. Theis was airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital by North Air Care with what the sheriff's office said was severe injuries.

--One person is under arrest, and a teenager is fighting for his life after a shooting early Sunday morning in St. Cloud. According to police, just after 2:30, officers responded to a call of multiple gunshots at Go For It Gas in the 1000 block of 9th Avenue South. When they arrived, they found a 17-year-old shot in the torso and the suspect had fled the scene. A handgun was recovered. Investigators say they believe the shooting stemmed from an argument that led to a physical altercation in the parking lot, and the victim and suspect know each other. The victim was rushed to CentraCare-St. Cloud Hospital, before being airlifted to a Twin Cities hospital in critical but stable condition. Police tracked down the 17-year-old suspect at a home on the 1400 block of 6th Avenue South and got a search warrant to go in and arrest him. Around 6:25 Sunday evening, the SWAT Team took the teen into custody without further incident. He was booked into the Stearns County jail and is awaiting formal charges of felony assault and felon in possession of a firearm. During the investigation, a 31-year-old woman showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound to her leg suffered during the incident. She was treated and released.

--The Little Falls Fire Department and the DNR were called to a grass fire on Highway 371 north of Little Falls around 12:30pm Monday afternoon. They were able to extinguish in a short period of time.

--A bicyclist was hurt in a crash with a car near St. Stephen. The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says the incident happened Saturday on County Road One in Brockway Township. Sixty-four-year-old Richard Zima of St. Cloud was riding his bike southbound while 88-year-old Gladys Stich of Rice was also driving her car southbound. Zima moved from the shoulder to make a left turn into a driveway when he was struck by the car. He was not wearing a helmet. He was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with unknown injuries.

--Morrison County Administrator Matt LeBlanc spoke on KLTF Monday and stated that public works projects have started and reminder to slow down in work zones. Recently over 100 students from Morrison County schools attended Morrison County at the government center to see first hand what is done with the county offices and county government and tour the facility. There is a county surplus auction online right now through the county website for those who want to bid on county items that are available. --Morrison County Veterans Service Officer Kris VonBerge announced that this week is busy in her office. Wednesday is Veterans Day on the Hill in St. Paul and there is a bus leaving Little Falls that morning around 7am sponsored by the Disabled American Veterans Chapter #12 of Morrison and Todd County. Thursday is the Retiree Seminar at Camp Ripley open to all retired veterans and their spouses starting with an optional breakfast at 7:30am then the speakers will start just after 8am until about 12pm. There is no charge to attend the speakers of the seminar at Camp Ripley but you will need an ID to enter the military base. April is also Month of the Military Child and on Friday (April 19th) the Veterans Service Office will give an opportunity for kids of military families to come and get a free gift from the Veterans Service Office on Friday during business hours. --One person was arrested after a domestic dispute led to a suspect barricading himself inside his St. Cloud apartment Saturday morning. Around 5:10, police said they responded to a domestic in progress, which also involved firearms inside a unit at the building on the 500 block of 12th Street South. A man was found inside alone and armed, according to the St. Cloud Police Department’s X account. Roughly an hour later, the man was taken into custody. He is facing charges related to felony assault, domestic assault and threats of violence. Police remained on scene for several hours afterward collecting evidence in the case. A woman was taken to CentraCare St. Cloud Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

--Emblom Brenny Funeral Service is hosting their 2nd Annual Hotdish Cookoff at the Little Falls VFW on Friday April 26th. The event is 4-7pm for all to come and enjoy hotdishes from area churches and groups, silent auction, door prizes and more. The hot dish meal is $10 and proceeds go to the area hospice groups in Morrison County. Come help and support them at the event on April 26th 4-7pm.

GOLF= Scotty Scheffler wins the Masters Sunday for the Green Jacket, it was Scheffler's second win at the Masters, he won in 2022.
NBA= Minnesota got the #3 seed in the Western Conference Playoffs and open with Phoenix on Saturday night.
WNBA= Iowa's Caitlin Clark taken first in WNBA Draft last night by Indiana, Lynx picked 8th and took forward Alissa Pila from Utah. The WNBA season opens May 4th for the Lynx vs. Chicago Sky.
