NEWS
--Around 10:00pm Saturday the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an ATV accident with injuries on 230th Ave, approximately ½ mile north of Nature Road in Buckman Township, east of Royalton. According to the Sheriff’s Office, 28-year old Kylie Pickar of Royalton was driving a side by side ATV with passenger 26- year old Ellissia Manea of Royalton. The ATV was traveling north on 230th Ave. The driver of the ATV swerved to miss a pedestrian that ran onto the roadway. Pickar lost control of the ATV while overcorrecting, went into the ditch on the east side of the road and rolled the ATV. Pickar was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital and Manea was transported to St. Gabriel’s Hospital. It is unknown the extent of injuries of both parties.

--Two brothers were seriously injured Saturday when there ATVs collided head on that they were driving in Spring Hill Township near Melrose. 22-year old Tyler Revermann and 19-year old Anthony Revermann were on private property when the two came around a blind curve and struck head on throwing each other off their vehicles. Anthony was taken to Melrose Hospital and last listed in stable condition. Tyler was airlifted from the scene to St. Cloud Hospital and last listed in critical condition with multiple injuries including a serious head injury. Neither driver was wearing a helmet.

--Around 9:00am on Friday Crow Wing County Deputies went to a residence located on the 11000 block of Burgwald Road in Brainerd to attempt a warrant arrest on 37-year old Stephen Louis Gagnon of Brainerd, who was known to frequent this residence. Gagnon had an active arrest warrant out for him. Upon arrival at the residence, deputies determined through witness statements and cell phone text messages that Gagnon was inside the residence, but refused to come out. At this time, the Crow Wing County Tactical Response Team was called out to assist in the arrest of Gagnon. After several attempts to contact Gagnon in the residence, with no response, the Tactical Team made entry into the house. Gagnon then came out of the residence and surrendered to authorities. Also arrested in connection with this arrest were: 28-year old Tanya Lee Bocock, 35-year old Jennifer Rose Fretty, and 52-year old Linda Lee Olson, all three of Brainerd. Each were arrested for Felony Aiding an Offender to Avoid Arrest.

--A Sauk Rapids woman and a Sartell man were arrested Tuesday on suspicion of selling methamphetamine in St. Cloud. Kayla Lucille Derosier and Cory Nelson Spiegel each made their first appearance Thursday in Stearns County District Court on first-degree felony drug charges. Court documents say investigators observed a drug-related transaction Tuesday on Division Street in St. Cloud. The Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force had an ongoing investigation into Derosier, who was believed to be selling large amounts of meth in the area. A search located $3,520 in cash, numerous cell phones, paraphernalia associated with the sale and consumption of controlled substances and significant amounts of suspected meth. In total, investigators found 93 grams of meth packed into 1-ounce quantities. Both defendants have omnibus hearings later this month in court.

--A school bus driver from Pope County was injured Friday afternoon when a pickup rear ended the bus on Highway 29 near Starbuck. Vicki Wallin, age 65 of Starbuck was the bus driver making a turn into a private driveway when she was struck by 57-year-old Jeffrey Chandler of Balaton. Wallin was taken to the Glenwood hospital with injuries. Chandler was not hurt. No kids were on the bus at the time.

--A 37-year-old man was injured Sunday when he struck a road sign at the intersection of Highway 27 and County Highway 47 east of Lastrup in Richardson Township. Around 6:30pm, Christopher Engen of St. Cloud was westbound when the crash occurred. He was taken to the Onamia hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

--A Minnesota man who helped a missing teenager, gave the reward money he was gifted back to the girl, who was held captive by three men for nearly a month. 65-year old Earl Melchert, was presented with a $7,000 reward check on Friday. Alexandria Police Chief Richard Wyffels held a news conference to present Melchert with the check, but when the chief handed him the check, he turned and gave it to Jasmine. Stated in a facebook post by the Alexandria Police Department, What no one expected was the kindness and generosity that came straight from Earl’s heart Friday. He believes that young lady that came running towards him that September day is the real hero and without hesitation, Earl handed the reward over to her, followed by a big hug. The post ended by reminding everyone to be kind to each other, a message embodied by the man of the hour.

--40-year old Maritza Lockett must serve seven years probation and pay her victim $5,000 in restitution for stabbing him last fall in St. Cloud. If Lockett violates her probation in the next seven years, she could go to prison for three years and three months. Lockett stabbed a man in the early morning on November 25th near the 3600 block of Division Street West. The St. Cloud Police Department found the victim with a half-inch-by-half-inch, L-shaped entrance wound. Lockett served eight days in jail since then. Last December she pleaded not guilty to a second degree assault charge. In August she reversed course and pleaded guilty.

--The Dobosenski family took seventh in the pork ribs category in the Sam's Club National Pro BBQ Tour Saturday. The Fort Ripley Township couple of 41-year old Stan and 39-year old Tonia along with their three daughters of "Rub My Rack BBQ" were among 50 finalists competing for a $150,000 purse at the Sam's Club headquarters in Bentonville, Ark. Their children are 9-year old Zoe, 5-year old Gemma and 4-year old Maizie. The team ranked 29th overall and 21st in chicken, 39th in pork and 33rd in brisket categories. 50 finalists were selected from 750 teams.

NFL= Sam Bradford started but did not finish the game. The Vikings still managed to beat the Chicago Bears 20-17 Monday night to go to 3-2 on the season, thanks to their stingy defense. The Vikings host the Packers Sunday at noon at TCF Bank Stadium.
COL FB= Gophers host Michigan State Saturday 6:00pm on KLTF.
TWINS= Twins Monday signed Paul Molitor to a three year contract extension to remain manager of the team. Molitor took the team from a 103 loss season in 2016 to the Wild Card playoffs in 2017.
