--Investigators from the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension were back on the Brisk property northwest of the intersection of Hawthorne Road and Jewel Road Monday. While searching the property investigators located a couple items of interest. Investigators are in the process of submitting the evidence to the BCA for analysis. Because of the ongoing active investigation, no details will be released concerning the items that were recovered on the property. Sheriff Larsen states that there is still a $30,000 reward for information that leads to the identification of the person who shot and killed Terrance Brisk. Larsen stated their office is one step closer to solving this crime and they are committed to working this case until a suspect is in custody. --A woman was killed in a two vehicle crash in Todd County over the weekend. The Todd County Sheriff’s Office says it happened just after 12:30pm at the intersection of county roads 11 and 14, west of Browerville on Saturday. A car driven by Robert Carpentier of Wyoming, Minnesota was going north. As he went through the intersection he was struck by a car driven by Dorothy Holder of rural Eagle Bend. Both vehicles went into the ditch. Holder was trapped in her vehicle and had to be extricated. Holder was pronounced dead at the Long Prairie Hospital. Carpentier was treated at the scene.

--Brainerd firefighters doused a shed fire Monday afternoon on Barbeau Road in Brainerd. The contents of the shed were destroyed. The fire was contained to the immediate area with some grass around the shed scorched but no threat to any other structures. No injuries. Brainerd firefighters and the DNR remind central Minnesota residents that the fire danger risk still remains high even with the recent moisture from the past days. This comes as the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office responded to grass fires in Emily, Crosby and Brainerd over the weekend. No reports of heavy damage in those.

--A 13-year-old girl was burned on her face Saturday after starting a campfire with gasoline in Crosslake. The teen reportedly had burns on her face and was ambulanced to the hospital then transferred to North Memorial in Metro Area. Her condition was not known.

--A St. Cloud man has pleaded guilty to criminal sexual conduct after he provided a 14-year old girl with alcohol and then raped her in December. 56-year old John Magney pleaded guilty to first degree criminal sexual conduct. He has also agreed to a life sentence in prison and will not be eligible for parole for at least 18 years. Court records show the assault happened at a home on 7th Avenue North in Waite Park. His sentencing date is schedule for June 8th.

--A 44-year-old East Gull Lake man was injured when his motorcycle struck a deer on Cedar Scenic Road in Baxter Sunday night. Just before 9:00pm, Lee Helsene struck the deer causing him to leave his cycle and strike the pavement. Helsene was taken to a hospital then airlifted to the metro area where he was listed in critical condition.

--Due to utility construction, there will be a detour in Little Falls on 5th Avenue Southeast near 7th Street beginning today.

--Authorities are asking for you help in finding a man who allegedly kidnapped and sexually assaulted an 18-year-old man Monday night. The incident happened at about 10:30pm on Northeast River Road in Rice. Rice Police Chief Ross Hamann says they received a call that a man in pajamas was standing in the middle of the road. When officers arrived the victim told police he had been kidnapped, physically assaulted and possibly sexually assaulted. The victim continued to say he was walking on River Road when he accepted a ride from a man in a van. After he got into the van he was rendered unconscious and woke up alone on the side of the road. The victim was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries consistent with being sexually assaulted. The suspect is described as a white man in his 50's with a gray mustache, medium build, wearing a baseball cap, blue jean jacket and blue jeans. The vehicle is described as a 2000 model full size van, dark blue or purple in color, with a partition behind the front seat. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.

--One person is hurt in a four vehicle crash on Interstate 94 East near Clearwater. The Minnesota State Patrol says the incident happened just before 6:30 Tuesday morning. A vehicle driven by 64-year-old Kevin Doering of Cold Spring was headed east when he changed from the right to left lane and struck a semi driven by 47-year-old Andrew Barlage of Grantsburg, Wisconsin, sending him into the median and then back into the right lane. Doering was then hit by another semi driven by 30-year-old Jacob Doll of Underwood. He then hit a car driven by 45-year-old Chad Mccarney of Richmond. Doering was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Barlage, Mccarney, and Doll were not hurt.

--The Stearns County Board of Commissioners has decided how to fill the sheriff’s term left vacant with the retirement of John Sanner. Commissioners approved a motion on a 3-2 vote to open up an application process for those wishing to serve as sheriff. Applicants will have until April 28th to submit their names for consideration. A screening committee will review those applications and submit up to five candidates to the county’s personnel director on May 2nd to be reviewed. On May 9th, commissioners will select up to five candidates to be interviewed. Interviews will then take place the following week on May 16th. The county board will appoint a new sheriff at their May 23rd board meeting. That officer will then fill the position of sheriff until the term expires December 31st, 2018.

--Little Falls Community High School will have Parent/Teacher Conferences on Monday from 3:45-6:45pm in the High School Commons. This will be the only Parent/Teacher Conference scheduled for Quarter 4. For information call (320) 616-2202.
