–The Little Falls Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has unanimously voted to support both questions on the upcoming Little Falls Community School’s referendum on May 10. “Endorsing the referendum is the right thing to do”, said Kyle Hoggarth, Chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors; “I am extremely pleased and excited that our Board has made this statement. The Chamber is proud to take leadership in supporting our Little Falls Community School Board of Education, our administration, staff, and community. It is necessary for us to stress the importance of education for the business climate of Little Falls.” Superintendent of Little Falls Community Schools, Stephen Jones, abstained from voting on the motion citing conflict of interest. The Board of Directors encourages all Chamber members to research how the referendum will impact them personally. Schools are an indicator of the future economic climate of a community. Board members had individual discussions with Chamber and community members, and their opinions were taken in account prior to this vote of support. The Chamber Board of Directors has stated, without equivocation, that a requirement for a prosperous Little Falls community is the support of its schools. It is to this end that the Board supports the 2 questions on the ballot.
