Area residents, business owners and motorists are invited to attend an open house to learn about two proposed alternatives to reconstruct and widen the urban section of Highway 10 through Wadena in 2018. The open house will be held Monday, September 14th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Maslowski Wellness and Research Center in Wadena. Open house attendees will be able to learn details and view layouts of both proposed designs, learn how the project may affect traffic and adjacent properties, and have questions answered directly from MnDOT staff. One design would create a continuous left-turn lane along Highway 10 through most of Wadena. The other would use a combination of raised median and turn lanes. Both designs widen the road to the south, reconstruct or add sidewalk, upgrade signal systems, improve intersections to meet modern accessibility standards, resurface Highway 10 east and west of Wadena and make other improvements while lanes are closed.
