A pedestrian was taken to St. Cloud Hospital early Tuesday after being hit by an off-duty Wright County deputy who was driving in a marked squad car. The names of the pedestrian and the deputy were not immediately released by the State Patrol, which is investigating the crash. The patrol said that the pedestrian sustained injuries that were not life-threatening. The deputy hit the pedestrian at about 6:10am on Wright County Road 75, east of Minnesota Highway 24.
