A Pine River man was sentenced for his role in a string of burglaries in Cass County. 38-year-old Dean Benedict was arrested in February after a search warrant led to stolen property at his residence which included a stolen ATV. Benedict was convicted of felony receiving property and sentenced to 17 months in prison and ordered to pay resitution. He pleaded guilty to the receiving stolen property charge so other charges against him could be dismissed.
