A second prostitution sting in Baxter netted two more johns Tuesday. The Baxter Police Department arrested 22-year-old Tyler Clark Meech shortly after 6:00pm Tuesday after he knocked on the door of a hotel room where he believed a sex worker was waiting. Meech, who has no known permanent address, was transported to the Crow Wing County Jail. He was formally charged Thursday with agreeing to hire a prostitute in a public place, a gross misdemeanor offense. A second person, a 48-year-old Baxter man, was released at the scene at the officers’ discretion and informed he would be summoned to court to face criminal charges. Formal charges against the second individual is expected early next week.
