St. Cloud Police arrested a man Sunday night who had an active warrant for first-degree burglary. 23-year old Michael Blandford had a warrant for his arrest out of Hennepin County, and another on second-degree drug charges out of Wright County. About 9:35pm Sunday, an officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle at Fifth Street South and Ninth Avenue South. Police say the officer determined during the stop that the vehicle’s passenger was giving a false name. The officer eventually identified the passenger as Blandford and discovered the warrants. Police say officers searched the vehicle and found multiple bags of methamphetamine that police say was packaged to be sold. Blandford was taken to Stearns County Jail.
